29 on the 29th

This year was Dan's special Birthday. He turned 29 on the 29th of January! We didn't do anything out of the ordinary, it's a lot harder to get things planned when you have a little one. We spent most of the day indoors because it was pretty cold. Then we dropped Casper off at my sister Jodie's house and we went to the new BP's at Cross Iron Mill Mall and then went to the new movie theater there too. We saw No Strings Attached.

It was really nice to be able to spend alone time with Dan, especially on his birthday, but I have to admit, we were thinking of little Casper the whole time!

Happy Birthday Dan!

Finally

I am happy to announce that Dan got a new job! This one isn't like any other that Dan has had in the past. With this job he actually is going to be using his Marketing Degree that he got almost 2 years ago! I knew Dan would find something, but no one expected it to take this long for him to find something decent. He worked so hard to find a job that he actually had a future in. He applied everyday and had so many interviews. It seemed like he was always just barely not cutting it because of his lack of experience. But where is he supposed to gain experience when no one will hire him?! I'm just glad that viscous cycle is over with!

Dan is now employed as a recruiter for Eagle Professional Resources Inc. It's located in downtown Calgary and Dan tells me that it's a younger company too. I'm so excited for him and I'm so proud of him! All of that hard work has payed off. No more being frustrated and feeling stuck. I can't wait to see what future we will have now that we know that things will be more secure. I'm especially excited to have my husband working only during the day and only on weekdays! Finally!

I love you so much Dan, and I am grateful for all that you do for our family.

New Years 2010

This was the first New Years Eve that Dan didn't have to do a show! We didn't really know what we were going to do to celebrate until pretty last minute. We ended up going out to eat at Five Guys with Dan's cousins and their wives and kids (Kyle & Pam with Leah, and Steve & Naomi with Tristan). There were just us three couples and I think we all had such a fun night! After we ate we went to Steve and Naomi's house and snacked and played PictionaryMan, and Wii. We visited and laughed so much that night! We really shouldn't wait that long to do that again! Funny enough, none of the kids wanted to go to bed either. Oh well, it's New Years!

I don't really have that many New Years resolutions this year. I still want a house, but first we need Dan to get a good steady job. I'm mostly just excited for what 2011 has in store for us. I hope this year is filled with good luck and success for not only me and my family but for everyone! Happy New Year!
